Annie began doing formal architectural renderings during her undergraduate studies. Her artistic style has been influenced by mentors, porfssors, music, studying classical art, architecture history, and traveling through Europe, the Americas, and Asia. The architecture and design firms she has worked with since have benefitted from her artistic and design abilities.
Now living in Asia with her husband, she has explored architecture, graphics, fine art, and design through the eyes of Asian composition, simplicity, and culture. Traveling continues to broaden her artistic eye and provides opportunities to collaborate with designers around the world.
Skidmore is currently doing research on the relation between design and culture. Her focus on Asian design and sustainability has led to fascinating articles. [See articles] This fall, Fuseo’s portfolio will be expanding with several new project from Korea. She will also be attending Tokyo’s 100% Design, the Japanese NeoCon, so check back for updates under the articles page.
